From Mike Berube

If anyone is interested,

http://www.online-literature.com/tolstoy/2733/

It's Leo Tolstoy's opinions on human nature and nonviolence. He looks specifically at Gandhi's work. It's a quick read and very insightful.

[This was in the comments section but I brought it out here so more could see it. Tolstoy's short stories are also amazing; I've been reading them over break. His Kingdom of God is Within You influenced Gandhi a great deal.]

A good column today about other charities.

Also, read Charles Johnson's Dreamer. I'm almost done with it. A wonderful piece that looks at MLK during the difficult Chicago years by the author who also wrote Dr. King's Refrigerator.
